Spring Break Trip to San Francisco/Northern California

Glad y'all had a good time.
Some years and in some places it can be quite dicey in that city and sour the entire experience something fierce, but thankfully that did not happen.

Yeah, you don't much need a car in SF. GG Park is nice on a rental bicycle on a Sunday when the streets are closed to motor vehicles. Uber would be the way to get around the city, but you want a car to get down to Carmel and points in between. More options in Northern California a little later in the year. There are places around Yosemite that are beautiful, but sort of inaccessible certain times of the year.

Hopefully you missed the worst of the recent weather, sounds like you had a good time.
