We went to Jaws in 1975 in a friends’ parents big Plymouth wagon with two guys in the trunk and me driving in. Paid $2.50 and split it three ways, drank beer, and had a great time on the cargo floor backed into the spot. A few years later my friend’s dad said I could buy the car if I paid the bill on it at the Union 76 gas station. I agreed and the bill was $15.

There are two in operation in the province. One is 9 hrs drive away and the other is about 2 hrs. There was a 3rd (about 3 hrs away) but a storm tore down the screen 3 yrs ago. They had no insurance. The biggest problem is old drive ins were 35 mm film. Everything coming out now is on digital and a digital projector costs about $90,000 to buy. Hard nut to crack when you only operate a couple months of the year and only on weekends.

There's one an hour north of where I am and another one 90 min. from me close to Niagara Falls.
