He wrote/sang a lot of great songs besides American Pie. I personally like his renditions of Vincent and Castles in the Air as much as AP.

The guy is 72 and single...and just wants some putty before he dies. What is wrong with that? He is not running for the Senate as a Republican so no one in Hollywood cares.

Speaking of old music, I am watching Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) performing in Hyde Park (on MTV). I know that there are not a lot of the old group left, but they are fabulous (if you ever liked them back in the day).

We saw McLean at the Coach House in Capistrano when his girlfriend would have been about 16, No she wasn't there.
