I wouldn't recommend DAS. Last time I used them for a cross-country move, they lost my car for 4 weeks. It miraculously got found (and delivered) when I told them I would file a stolen car claim if they couldn't tell me where it was.

He did an excellent job for me. I have recommended him to numerous friends, and they have been very pleased.

Really depends on what it is.
I have used UShip. It was pretty sketchy - so I think you’re on your own.
I bought a really nice 996 C4S last year. Mint and low miles. Used Intercity Lines. They are top notch, and when I shopped around - they were competitive. Insured for waaayyyy more than my car was worth. Driver just took a bunch of Gullwings and dropped them off before mine came.

They are very picky and give a good condition report and cover your car up.

Uship is private owners bidding for the cheapest rates, with sketchy equipment, and questionable licenses, and insurance. I would pay the extra money for "Reliable" or "Intercity", or some other dedicated, enclosed, insured carrier.

Bought a Toy. MR2 recently from a Battle Creek, MI dealer. They paid $700 to ship it to Scottsdale, AZ. in an open transporter. No issues. They called frequently with updates.

I've used White Lightning for a few years without a hitch. Dan White is a broker and uses well vetted truckers with the proper insurance, etc.

I've used J & S Transportation in the past and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. They use their own trucks and contractors and are not brokers.
I'd once got hold of a broker by mistake, was added to some kind of list and continued getting calls about shipping my car for months after the car had already been delivered...by J & S.

Dennis, I used a guy with his own enclosed rig from Mass. He hauled my non-running 71 440 Charger from Albuquerque to Rochester , NY for 1100 bucks. If you want when I get home I can PM his info. He was excellent with his updates and his delivery was within 1/2 hour of scheduled time.

Also interested if anyone has a recommendation for a shipper on the east coast. Reliable doesn’t cover the route and Intercity said it would be tough to schedule. AL to CT

Thanks
Rob
