My EVO RK just LOST 22 lbs !
This is fantastic!
In my archaic quest for more...I went with less. In weighing all the parts for a BDL belt drive installation, I have discovered the stock chain drive and all components weigh in at 44.10 lbs. That's a pretty good chunk of iron. Then I weighed all the belt drive stuff, - it came to 22 LBS! So to the point, I cut the rotating mass in half! This EVO keeps evolving. |

That should be noticeable! Especially since it’s rotating mass. Let us know how it feels.

It will be a hard line to actually judge as I am doing about 12 big projects all at once to it.
It should make it a bit more snappy! Perhaps one more HP per second? https://www.w8ji.com/rotating_mass_acceleration.htm |

I knew some guys into the AWD Eagle Talon/Plymouth Laser/Mitsubishi Eclipse scene and those were some pretty quick cars.
Would hazard a guess that the Lancer is even more badash considering CarsÂ*Â*>Â*Â*Mitsubishi Evo 8 Supercar :: RK Racing development. Not a well known brand this side of the pond but should be. |

My bad. The name did not pop up with a bing search. Kept getting AK variants which don;t use belts.
22lbs off the moving engine sound like a significant upgrade! |

The BIG reason I went to a belt is the compensators.
I cant keep one alive. The last two did not go 6K each! Next, I always though belts in the primary was a short-lived thing, but I met some people with over 20K on them. Now it has become a no-brainer. $300 dollar compensators, oil, gaskets, and PIA Or a 150.00 dollar belt. The weight reduction is a nice plus. |

BDL makes many systems , closed / open
What i really like about this is their lockup clutch. I dont know what kind of bike you have, but if it is sort of a Harley, they have a Belt system for it http://beltdrives.com/ Install Guides and Warranties | Belt Drives, LTD. |
