I got a phone call from Shilo this morning. The rooms are around $99/$109 for non view/view rooms. It is right on the Columbia River by the dam. She is calling me back tomorrow when she is in the office to discuss details. Will let you know.

Peter, I will look into your location as well.

get a two bed rate too. some of us might want to share a room but not the sheets

also maybe look into booking at least one suite so that we would have a party central. unless they have a decent bar.

cascade locks may have rooms when hood river doesn't as they aren't much of a tourist town. i will chek with a friend who has a small motel right in hood river that might have rooms available. lots of camping room at my house too=big yard. are little town starts getting busy with all the things going on in the summer here, windsurfing, kayaking, mountain biking, rafting, kite boarding, hiking, shopping, cycling, you get the idea.

It's official, the hotel we are staying in is the Shilo Inn in The Dalles. Rooms are $99 for a non-view and $109 for a view. This price includes breakfast. Not a piece of coffee cake and a 4 oz. of cup of coffee, but a real breakfast. I have reserved 10 of each. If you want twin beds, we should be able to substitute. They are holding the rooms for a short time, so YOU MUST ACT QUICKLY. Reserve your rooms now!!!

The hotel site is:
Shilo Inn

Tell them you are with the No-Gruppe to get the discount.

With a side-order of grits?

The hash browns are Cellulose potatoes patented by Monsanto similar to Shiriff mashies.

Hm, hm good.

Guys, when in The Dalles, you have to try the Cellilo Omelet at "Cousins", best there is.

It's worse than you think.
Go here and you'll find 63900 patents just on potatoes; that's right: 63900 in the US alone!!

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/result.html?query_txt=Potato

Monsanto vigorously sues farmers who dare to grow potatoes (and other crops) that infringe on their patents!

I keep telling you guys to watch what you eat but..................

99% of the stuff you buy in the stores has been processed, sprayed, radiated, chemically and generically altered............. empty calories, Transfatty substances (Bad grease), very low nutrition............ basically garbage!

There is a state of emergency re: obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart disease.................but the show goes on: Sugar, white flour and grease.

Wake up and go organic

Booked.

I am guessing it was just for the one day...Friday night correct?

Gunter...I mostly shop here: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/

and occasionally here: http://www.traderjoes.com/

Also for pets this is a great brand: http://www.petpromiseinc.com/

Supplements and vitamins:

http://nordicnaturals.com/

http://www.new-chapter.com/

In fact i keep nothing toxic in my condo, everything is natural and/or biodegradable with one caveat: my dishwasher soap is Cascade 2-in-1 Action Packs. I've tried the natural stuff and it just doesn't get silverware and glasses clean.

Gunter.......I can tell you mean well, but ya just need to lighten up a little

As one Canadian to another......when I see you on the CanAm run, I need to buy you the breakfast special - 2 fired eggs, 2 sausages and a couple of pancakes with lots of butter and syrup. That is what you need to keep you going for the long drive Scooter is going to take us on. Hell, you will likely enjoy it.

The drive will be fun too!!

Cheers. See you soon.

Bill:
You are the exception; pass it on
Been doing it for about 30 years and feel great.

Good energy and no weight-problems.

The CanAm is for 3 days (2 nights)
Hope you can do the whole event.
I usually do a whole week; arriving 2-3 days early and "test-drive" the planned run.
