![]() I have a nice pair of 69 911 Fuchs deep six wheels, and I want to clean them inside. Can I use a Baking Soda blaster at low pressure to clean up the road scum that is still on the inside despite brush scrubbing them. Any cleaning solution work? I am told NOT TO USE P-21S on them. Len

Soda blasting would work however a decent soda blaster is huge dollars, HF and all the other cheap ones are a waste of time and money.

Is it oxidation you're dealing with or caked on brake dust? Griot's Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner makes light work out of brake dust, oxidation you're going to want to use something slightly more abrasive like a rubbing compound. Also considering following up whatever process you use with a ceramic coating to have lasting protection.

Not on my Fuchs, but I used a wire brush and wd40 to remove the oxidation on my jeep wheels and then I sprayed them with brake cleaner.

I have been using SONAX wheel cleaner plus for years. Not cheap but it works well.
