Price check for 962
I know you have your own mixing station but do you have a ballpark price for a gallon of diamont riviera blue? Local basf jobber said a gallon of diamont is like $1500 is this true? If so imagine painting a tri5 Chevy!!

that's about right for full list price.
the RM line has a floating price meaning not all colors cost the same price. with glasurit it's a fixed price for all colors so you should also check the cost of the color your looking for in both glasurit and RM. I just looked up the shops cost my mixing cost is about 30% less than so my cost for a Gal is just over 1000. $ full list for the gal was 1452. $ . the mix has two blues and a red that are expensive tints and it uses a lot of the blues. personally I would maybe go with limco. it's a good paint and a lower cost. I have been using it lately on the bugeye sprite and TR6 restorations and it's been working great. one thing is sense this covid crap started the prices of paints has gone way up. it's kind of like the prices of wood did. people found themselves at home so they started working on projects so it's supply and demand. |

yes they sure do.
use the supreme plus base coat limco with the limco 4100 clear. LR12 reducer for both base and the clear with the medium LHM hardener for the clear. I painted one of our miata race cars in limco base white top part and blue on the bottom part about 7 years ago the car sits out side all the time year round and the paint looks great still. I also painted our camper Van in limco black base this fall will be 10 years ago and that too sits outside year round. still looks good. limco is basically the same type of paint Porsche used back in the 70's. so it may not be as great as the paints of today but it's still a very good product. I like there undercoats AKA primers also good coverage and sands nice. |

I used RM Epoxy Primer followed by 800k. Both went down nice. Thanks for the info as always.
