how to remove 944 emblem with out breaking

after months, I got the hatch open on my 944. some paint chipping etc.

I would like to paint the small section with the key entry,
but it has the 944 emblem. Is there a trick to getting this off? I think its plastic.

thanks
Anne

I’m not sure if it’s held in place with adhesive, but if it is then you remove it by using dental floss to “slice through” the adhesive without marring the paint.

Good plan.

You could "warm up" the area with a heatgun to make the adhesive softer. Obviously not so hot you kill the paint LOL
