Targa Lower Trim
Can the trim that runs along the bottom of the rollbar cover and below the rear window gasket be removed without removing the rear window? I realize it has several screws or stud holding it down. Obviously I would rather not have to remove the rear window if I can avoid it.

No it can not. There are five screws that go though that piece and into body under the gasket. Plus the two studs in the wheel well.

In my younger days I used to just climb in the back and just push the back glass out with my back. It’s tempered and won’t break. Make sure someone is on the other side so the glass doesn’t pop all the way out. If I recall correctly, you have to remove the stainless targa bar also. Then you just re-string it and set the seal back in. Make sure the rear window defroster wires are back in place.

You need to remove the targa cover inorder to reset the gasket but it certainly makes it a lot easier.
