there are many good brands on the market . in my shop the guys like USC's pro7 . we use alot of USC products in my shop . the USC rep (paul ) is a great guy and keeps us up to date on new products . there icing is a very good light weight filler also . most body fillers will do the job they are intended for if you use them as the manufacturer wants you to . but there are other factors involved too that can make even the best fillers suck . one is how you mix the filler after you add the hardener to it . it should never be swirled around to mix the hardener in it should be folded over in its self . by folding it over you will push out any air bubbles. its just like needing bread dough . another thing not to do is add more hardener than it calls for . this will make it dry faster but the down side is it will also slow down the curing time . then weeks later after the car get painted and the filler finally cures it will srink in and you will see sand scratches . that tube of hardener that comes with the filler is enough to mix with 1 and 1/4 cans of filler . if you use the hole tube and need more for the rest of the gal. can then you have mixxed in to much hardener . you should also not mix body fillers on cardboard . the cardboard soaks up the polyester resins in the body filler the best thing to use to mix body fillers on is onion mixing boards . there cheap and you don't have to cut up all the boxes in your shop just to have some thing to mix body filler on .
