How do I fix this sheetmetal?

I have a 69T I am trying to get on the road and am ready to start welding in my pans except for the unibody under both battery boxes.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to refurbish this area? It is a complex box area and I want it to be structural and visually similar to original. I don't have a shrinker/stretcher or an english wheel.

I would love to just find later model sheet metal and weld it in but something tells me that area for both sides would be hard to come by.

I would personally find some sheet metal that someone is cutting.

I know 2 people here in mass with available parts.

I would think that will be easier to find it on the west coast.

If you want PM me and I will send you some phone numbers.

I wouldn't try fabricating a piece. Post on the forum I'm sure you'll find some good ones

Yes, I thought about doing something similar. I might have to. I am planning on doing a battery box delete as well so I am ready for future cooling upgrades and to remove unwanted weight.

That is a difficult area to stitch together, nice work!

left over from my restoration.

I have looked and maybe I missed the part. A friend brought the passenger side to the Porsche swap last weekend so I am covered there. I may have to go Rothaus's route. Fabricating the drivers side is keeping me up at night b/c I just lay there and try to visualize how to form the complex surfaces with only an anvil and dolly/hammers. I tried to do a paper pattern off of the passenger side piece but it is pretty complex.

Many pieces and weld and tack may be the way to go.
