Sunroof help

1977 911 Just opened my sunroof ....and it seems to be stuck in the fully open position....it feels like it is caught on something at the back.... has anyone had a similar problem or any hints on how to resolve this .....I want to drive it but its a rainy fall .
Thanks Jon

Sunroof

Have you tried to crank it by hand at the transmission in the roof?

If it can't be cranked there is the possibility that a cable broke.

Has the motor sound changed. There is a " flexible drive shaft" between the motor and the sunroof transmission, check it.

Good Luck.

I had this problem, I had to unzip the zip and remove the gears, realign the roof manually then put the gearing back in - all sorted ! Now I don't go to full open just in case !

There is a thread on this fix, just not sure where ...

Ben
