Greg,
Exellent work. I know how much time is involved in your work. I'm just finishing up 7+ years on my 57 coupe. Your car is silver, did you use an orignal paint code or had a color mixed for you taste. Looks great. Keep showing us your progress with more pictures.

Thanks guys. It seems that everything just takes so long. But, I received the door panels from Autos International so I'm trying to get them installed this weekend. From there the only big remaining thing on the interior will be getting and installing new carpet.
On the exterior the big remaining issue is to have the rims powder coated or chromed and then new rubber all around. On that note, does anyone have a chromer that's reasonable for my rims? The least expensive I've found is $110 per rim plus shipping. 356RS, the color is a 911 color from the mid 90's. If I recall, it is Polar Silver, or maybe Arctic Silver. I just went to a 356 picnic out in PA and saw some original silver cars. It's as close to a match as it gets. All the best, Greg

Its been over 8 years, but I had my last set of wheels chromed at Bolton Wheels in SoCal. Here's their website: http://www.boltonsclassicwheels.com/.
Back then, it was $90/wheel triple plated, and they looked awesome. I was even able to get them to put a custom backspacing so that I could run the 5.5" rim's without the wheel weights hitting the rear bumpstops on hard turns. Polar Silver is a bluish silver, your's doesn't look that way. Its probably Arctic Silver....

Awesome work, I can hardly believe it is the same car. Let me know if you have any issues finding interior parts, prohaps I can help there.

Nice Job, glad to see it on the road
Greg,
It is nice to see the final result. When I towed it home from Madison, Wisconsin close to six years ago, I never thought it would look this nice. It was a sad day when I saw it leave on the auto transporter to its new home, but it looks like it found good company. It would have still been tucked away in the corner of my garage. It is a great looking car. NICE JOB! Greg |

Hey Greg,
The mechanicals were relatively easy. But, the body guy would give me a ring every 2 weeks and leave a message, "Hey, Greg. You need to come over here and look at this!" One time I showed up and he had just stripped off 3 5 gallon buckets of bondo. When it was said and done, the guy did an amazing job. Just sent the wheels out to Boltons to have them chromed. I'm getting the carpet set for xMas. This spring I drive it like I stole it! All the best, Greg

Beautiful Work!
Thanks for posting the pics. It is inspiring... I just started the restoration of our 356C coupe and your progress proves it is worth the effort!
