356 1957 engine value? or rebuild it?

I have an '57 normal engine with no rods or pistons, but otherwise complete with the PIBC carbs. 3 jugs are OK but the 4th has a chunk out of the skirt.

Part it out? sell as a whole? or find the parts and rebuild it (to sell)?

What would it be worth as is?
Rebuilt?
What rods and pistons would I need?

Thanks

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.

If the case and front cover are okay, post the engine number on the 356 Registry to see if anyone is looking for that number (or close to it) for their own car. Otherwise part it out, it's worth more for the pieces than it's worth put back together (after you find all the parts and get the machine work done).
