This is a real deal 3 spoke VDM wood steering wheel that was factory installed on 1962-1963 Porsche 356 Carrera 2 models and was optional on other 356 models. This was used on 1962-1963 models and possibly other years. These wheels were very rare when new and very rarely come up for sale today.

For those watching this auction, I wanted to make you aware that I have been having issues with bid retractions due to a known scammer that deals in vintage steering wheels. Her name is Leva and she is out of the San Diego/Oceanside area in California. She bid up this wheel, insisted that I sell it to her, then retracted her bid when I refused. I am sure others here are aware of her and her ways.

Rest assured, the auction is real, the wheel is real, and I am a real person. It is a shame that scammers like this can continue to run rampant.

I would like to apologize to anyone who was seriously interested in buying this wheel. As I said earlier, I has a problem with Leva(ebay user: nardi-usa, among many others). I then had an issue with Bill Brown(Ebay user: 356agarage) retracting his bid. After I blocked Bill from bidding, he reached out and said he would like to reenter a bid. I unblocked him and he bid, only to retract the bid AGAIN days later. This happening just a day before the end of the auction had me worried that this ruined the auction by making other potential bidders think there was auction tampering going on. It is deadbeats like these 2 bidders that ruin true auctions for everyone else. Bill and Leva, you should be ashamed.
