Very Clean 63N Engine Case PRICE REDUCED!!!
Offering a 2-pc case (no matching timing cover) for a 63N, deliverable at Carlisle on on April 30 (next Saturday). (I hate packing these things, but I will always try to be helpful.)
The case was purchased from Mike Robbins to help him out when he got sick, and I'm hopeful that it might benefit someone else in the 356 community. The case does not have the matching timing cover, but the adjacent ad has a list of timing covers also available (but none matched the case). The case is clean and in very good condition, and as soon as I can figure out how to add photos, here, I will do so. Was $500 + s/f. NOW $400 + s/f. (if the price is out of line, please feel free to let me know.) ![]() ![]()

Looks like two pieces of a 912 case. What are the 2 digits after the 616/XX?

it says 616/1.
also 66483. i don't have access to my reference materials right now, but i'll crosscheck Mike's determination, as written on the case. |

Never mind, The 66483 number indicates that it is a late '62 case. 616/1 was used for many cases from the late '50s through the early '60s. To be a 912 it would have had to be a 616/36 (or higher). The three extra long studs for attaching the 3rd piece threw me off. At some point this case had a 912 third piece attached.

got to the research material late yesterday.
material indicated that 616/1 is a 63 Normal, as advertised, but if someone has other information, i'm always open to education. |
