Porsche Complete Owner's Handbook of Repair and Maintenance, a Floyd Clymer publication, copywrite 1960. This is a beautiful period manual with gorgeous illustrations of all service work. Includes a photographic "history" of the brand, pages of specs on the engines including power curves and wire harness schematics, and page after page of how-to instruction on everything from pulling the engine to rebuilding both Solex and Zenith carbs to how to prepare your car for competition. The manual is 216 pages of glorious history in this perfectly preserved period piece.
As an added feature, this actual book was sent as a gift from Floyd Clymer to T. A. Hodgedon, who was president of BSA Motorcycles of America at the time (July 22, 1960). A note from Hodgedon is stapled into the book as he passed it on. The book is in excellent condition, with a slight yellowing of the exposed edges of the pages, but no tears, stains or water damage. A once-in-a-lifetime find for the 356 lover. Photos available upon request. |
