1956 356 ? Porsche Hood, Gages, Quarter Glass
For sale is a fair condition Hood for what I believe was a 1956 Porsche 356. I also have the clock, speedo, oil and fuel, and tachometer gauges. I think I have the headlight covers for it, they might be for an old bug. And finally the quarter glass.
Would like $2500 for it all or I would be willing to separate if you don't want it all. The hood has minor damage in the very front and hood ornament is broke off. One little tiny rust scab on front edge of hood. Gauges look to be in really good condition. They are 6 volt. I've never seen them work but they were pulled from the car they cut all the wires so I'm guessing it was in working order. No rust, all pieces appear to be there. I have one other clock, not pictured that is made by VDO in Germany, it must be vintage Porsche or Bug. The headlight covers are Porsche or bug. They are big oval glass covers. One has a small rock chip in the middle. Other than that they are real nice. The quarter glass has complete frames. One has complete latch assembly, it is missing half the latch on the drivers side. One window is good, the passenger side glass is spider webbed. You can give me a call at 515-729-4079 if you have any questions. I can e-mail more pictures if you would like just let me know We can deliver within $50 miles or we could ship it. I could build a crate for about $50 plus cost of shipping to your area. Or if you feel ambitious you could come and pick it up in Newton Iowa. Cash is always welcome. We also have a paypal account or could accept a money order. Whatever rocks your boat. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Bill,
you never reply at my emails and PM's. You are not serious. You mention in your sale ad that gauges are for a 56' 356...but stamps on gauges mentionned 62'... scammer ? ![]() Gauges are in very bad condition and you sold it for $150 plus $43 for shipping fees. You mentionned on shipping document $300 why ??? and I paid $90 for custom taxe. It's the first time I bought you something and be sure that it's the last time. Pelican needs only serious Porsche passionates and you are not at your place here. ![]() Bye John |

Are you sure the temp/tank combo is stamped 62? It's a correct gauge for a C / SC which makes 3.63 as the earliest date stamp.
BTW despite the seller misinformed you do I still think you got a good deal (if you got all four for $150 + costs). Richard |

But the seller never reply me, declared a bad value, I pay crazy $$$ taxe for nothing. Very bad guy and not interested by the Porsche. |
