Monterey Historics Wine Tour Drive / Fun Run to Hahn Winery 8/13!!!!!!

Since 2nd Annual Pelican drive was cancelled I thought I would continue the drive to drive that was so much fun last year. Let me be clear, this is not a Pelican sponsored event - rather something I have organized for us to enjoy! There is enough room for about 30-40 cars - so please email me directly (and post here so others will know) at porschecab@comcast.net so I can keep a tally.

The drive or fun run is August 13th, 2010. Time should be 9:00AM to meet at Safeway (same parking lot as last year) and the drive will be the same journey as last year and commence at the lovely Hahn Winery (as last year). As last year the run was a spirited drive through the backcountry of Monterey, ending up at the picturesque Hahn Estates Winery. The roots of the Hahn Estates Winery date back to the Hahn family’s European heritage. It is a fantastic drive and those that went in 2009 had a blast and those that missed it, well, missed it.

I have worked with the wonderful folks at Hahn and have made some special arrangements to use the tasting room - parking lot - tables - etc. There are several picnic benches and such for all of us to use, but we will have to bring our own food & drinks. The folks at Hahn have made a very generous gesture to waive the "tasting fee" in the tasting room so a great chance to taste some nice wines.

There will be NO COST to join us - but you must contact me so I can keep count. I hope to see you there and please respond as soon as you can to porschecab@comcast.net and post below if you are going so others can get excited about it!
