HUGE lot of 356 Porsche parts-4 mtrs incl S90, Carrera 904 gauges, hardtop, much more

Huge Porsche 356 parts cache. 4 disassembled motors including a Super 90 motor and a never run 1600S short block plus rebuilt heads and new pistons/jugs. 5 sets of carbs (3 Solex, 2 Zenith plus 2 spares) with 2 sets of tall velocity stacks. Lots of nos parts (rods, rebuilt crankshaft) and extra mechanical parts. 1 disassembled transmission. 3 extra numbered 3rd pieces for the engine case (2 1600SC and 1 1600S) Lightened flywheels. Brake backing plates. Metal gas lines Lots of suspension parts including 2 sets of axles tubes and axle carriers. 356 Cabriolet hardtop with rare aluminum trim. 1 Bumper and 6 plus sets of bumper guards plus spares including exhaust pass thru, 904 or Carrera 10k tachometer, Carrera 160 speedometer, 1 standard oil pressure gauge and 1 standard tach, door handles (outside door handles plus inside pulls) , hood trim (3 pieces-one with Porsche emblem). Taillights, turn signals, driving lights, extra lenses-some parts still in boxes. Owners and service manual with dealer phamphlet. Stoddard brand new front and rear mats, Cabriolet tonneau cover, tool pouch with some tools. There are numerous plastic bags marked with some parts, connectors, nuts and bolts, etc. EVERYTHING in these pictures is included in the sale. I can box all parts into bins and then crate for worldwide transport.

Here are the details on all the parts. I will start with the engines and mechanical parts and go on to the hardtop, trim, and other parts.

Here are the details on the motors... The first motor is a fully built never run short block. Engine number 703435 indicates a 1963 1600S motor. Everything is new on this engine. It also has a lightened flywheel and new clutch. New heads with valves in place. NOS pistons and jugs indicating a 82.46 bore. I have a counter weighted cranshaft out of the box from the machine shop that had been polished. The second motor is a Super 90 motor. It is disassembled. All numbers match on the 3 pieces of the case. Engine number 0800704. Matching black Super 90 heads. Polished counterweighted crankshaft. 84.47 pistons. NOS rods still in factory packing. The third motor is a 1963 1600s. Engine number 705484. The 3 pieces of the case have close matching numbers-1st and 2nd matching at 249 and the 3rd at 241. I would say these 3 pieces belong together. 84.47 pistons. Another set of factory connecting rods still in the package. The 4th engine is a 1600C engine. The engine number is 710875. 82.45 pistons. The case nunbers are not matching on this particular engine. The heads for this engine I believe are 912 heads but they were damaged at one time chipping and breaking off some of the cooling fins-not sure if they are usable. I have 3 additional engine case 3rd pieces. They are engine numbers 820289 (1964 1600 SC), 820198 (1964 1600SC), and 88907 (1961 1600S).

There are a total of 10 carbs. 2 sets of early Solex solid shaft carbs each with long velocity stacks. These velocity stacks look to be original and are in very good condition. One set has a black base and the other standard aluminum. There are 2 sets of Zenith carbs. There is one set of the gold later 356C/912 carbs and there is also 1 spare Zenith and one spare Solex. There are several linkages for the carbs. There is one set of Knech air cleaners for the Solex carbs and one set of the smaller black Zenith air cleaners. There are two Solex rebuild kits with the plastic case.

Numerous rocker arm assemblies. Some assembled. Some not. 3 extra connecting rods and 1 extra piston

Going through the engine parts it is almost easier to tell what is missing than what is there. There is a flywheel for every motor-two look to be lightened. There is a distributor for every motor. One is a Bosch 231 and another is a Bosch vj4br9 and the other two are Bosch vjr4 br28. There are 4 sets of valve covers including the Super 90 vented covers and SC covers and earlier valve covers. There are 3 oil filter cannisters. There are 4 oil sump screens including the Super 90 type. There are 3 engine shrouds. Lots of engine tin. Six oil coolers. 5 voltage regulators. 2 fuel pumps. Several generator stands. A box of NOS engine gaskets. A NOS South African muffler (never installed) There are dozens of marked and unmarked baggies fillled with small parts, nuts/bolts, etc) Many more engine accessories-please look closely at the pictures.

There is a transmission case. It is a 644 type marked for BBAB gears. There is a side plate, pinion gear, and shifter forks. There are some gears but some may be missing. One extra nose cone.

2 sets of axles tubes and 2 sets of axle carriers. One set has been painted and detailed, the other is still in the factory finish.

4 restored brake backing plates

3 fuel reserve petcocks in good condition.

Onto the cosmetic/trim portion of the parts..

Cabriolet hardtop. Good condition with original Sirkuit glass. This would be for a later B or C. This has the very rare lower aluminum trim-said to be worth as much as the hardtop itself. It has been wrapped in a vinyl roof-it will look good on any Cabriolet. There is one shall dent that should pop out and one small area of surface rust. Rear latches are good. Front latches I believe are in another pile of loose latches Headliner intact. This is in good condition for a driver or excellent to restore.

Collection of Porshce trim. 3 original Porsche scripts-all with different font. One C letter and one 90-all original. NOS rear tail light lenses still in the box. Various interior pull handles. Many turn signal and tail light housings and lenses. One tool kit with some of the original tools. This is the 1963 kit-the only year with the tie string case which is in good condition. Several Hazet wrenches and lug wrench. I have a jack in the Porsche plastic case. I believe it is for a 911 but I will include it. Door handles (date coded 63) for both interior and exterior. One rear view mirror in excellent condition. NOS Bosch glass lens still in box plus original lens. Set of lights-reverse or driving lights? The lights are a bit rusty but restorable or put them on a survivor.
3 hood handles, 1 with the Porsche crest. One set of headlight rings, look to be nos. One rear bumper and 6 sets of bumper guards/overriders. 3 sets are the exhaust pass thru type with the hardware. Stoddard unused front and rear mat. Beautiful condition. One new tonneau cover for a cabriolet. 3 sets of heat vent slides-2 are nos. Misc window trim. Two windshield wiper assembly, one with a motor. NOS heater control still in baggie. . One padel assembly. Two rear seat backs. One locking shifter assembly. Other NOS hinges and latches. Please look carefully at the pictures. The NOS headlight shown is for, I believe a later 911. I'll go ahead and throw it in if wanted since I included it in the pictures.

Collection of gauges. Uber rare 10k tachometer. The gauge is in good condition although there is fogging on the glass. This gauge is for a Porsche 904 or 356 Carrera. 8200 redline. Dated 10/65. 160 mph Carrera speedometer. Good original condition. Dated 3/65. Besides these 3 rare gauges I there is a 120 mph speedometer,6k tach, and oil temp/pressure gauge.

There is a 356B owners manual, service manual, and phamplet of dealers across the US.

That's all for now. Please email for any questions. The first 12 pages of this photo link show everything. Pages 13-18 show the details of the motors and parts. Enjoy the Porsche eye candy!

$25k for all parts.
