Opinions on Trevor's Hammer Works
Has anybody ever done business with Trevor's Hammer Works?
I need a new nose for my '63 and his stuff looks pretty nice on line. Long story short he finally had one in stock and I was trying to have a friend of mine pick it up at his shop and bring it to me......trying to save the $125 crate fee and $300 plus shipping charge. He would not take a credit card so my buddy was going to show up with cash in hand. Told him my friend would be there Monday Noon (which was the next day) Trevor then informed me he had a Doctor appointment sometime on Monday and was not sure when he would be at his shop. Kinda strange.....nice guy and all but I felt like he did not want to commit to the sale for some reason. Maybe he actually did not have one in hand. Anyway he passed on the deal and apologized. Anyone have good luck with his parts? Are they good quality? I guess I'll get back with him if I get some positive feedback from you guys. Thanks |

I have bought several pieces from Trevor, including a T5 nose. Always pleased. He is a little different to do business with. You send him a check, but he doesn't deposit it until he ships your part. My sense is that he has created a comfortable niche doing things a particular way, working to his schedule, and doesn't like change. No harm in that.

Thanks for the feedback.....
I spoke with him on the phone and he seems to be a real nice guy....he obviously just has his ways of doing business. I'll give him another shot when we have a driver out that way again. On a side note....I google mapped his business location and he's about a five minute drive from Sotddard. Thanks |
