Sportomatic
Age and mobility are taking their toll where I may no longer be able to drive a manual, though I still love the aircooled cars. Does anyone have any experience with the Sportomatic models and their functionality? I don’t know if they’re serviceable and how much of a problem one would be. Obviously, a Tiptronic would be another option, but I really love the earlier cars.

I had a 71T sporto that was well set up and it was a blast to drive. Our local independent shop seems to have no problem making them right.
One of my 964's is also a tip and they are equally fun. What model is your GMC? |

It’s a beautiful (not) green Palm Beach model, though the green shag carpet and interior is long gone.

Sportomatics are a blast when working correctly. I have a 70 911T Sportomatic. All original.
Biggest issues tend to be the Vacuum Servo and the shifter points. But it drives like a thing of beauty! Party on! |
