SS brake lines - SWB
Hello all. I am the new owner of a 1968 911 that has been sitting for many years. My first project is to refresh the brakes, followed by the tires. I bought new lines, hoses, master cylinder, rotors, pads, and rebuilt calipers.
I bought Stainless Steel braided brake lines, which come all 4, 2 long and 2 short. The 2 long ones have female fittings at both ends, which match up with the old rubber ones I took off the rear, except they are a little longer than the rubber ones, maybe a couple inches. The result is that they make a rather pronounced S- curve between the hard lines. Is this right? I actually have 2 sets, as I bought one for my 912 as well, and the are the same way. The fronts, I presume are the shorter ones, and have males and one end and females on the other. I have looked around here and on The Early911S site, but can’t find any SWB specific (or 1968) info. Thanks.
