Cookie Cutter Question

First off, I love the look and prefer the Fuchs but my car came with cookies and they are dated 1973 so I'm keeping them. May buy a set of Fuchs at a later date.

Some previous owner painted the hub/spokes/centers dark grey (944ish).
I would like to return my cookies to the original look. Were the spokes natural or painted ? And what color?
Thanks!

I’ve seen them in black w/polished lips (I have a set like this w/winter tires) as well as silver. I believe it was also an option to have them painted to match your cars color.

The 73 would have had silver finish (annodized) cookie cutters. STarting in 74 they were available in 3 colors.

911 cookie cutters are simply painted silver. Its a nice, bright, whitish silver, the same as on many other german car alloy wheels. I'm a fan. Have had several cars with them, and have always liked the look.

The black center/polished lip was a 944 thing.

I have white ones for my winter wheels. Don't know the date codes, though.

I like the Cookie Cutters too. They look like a good period correct alternative to Fuchs. Anyone know if the aforementioned black and polished wheels work on a 74-77 911S?

I say no. They look like 944 wheels when painted in that scheme. If you run a cookie, murder it out or paint it one of the above stock colors.

Here's one bead blasted, but they look great in silver imho.

Agree with Duane. I picked up a cheap set of 7”x15” with the polished lip and black center to use with snow tires but never liked the look, it’s like they are trying to be Fuchs. This year I plastidiped them black, still have to refinish a set of lug nuts before mounting them but they look better already.

Here is a pic of satin black cookies on my 75 targa. I plan to eventually do something different, but I think they suit the current unloved exterior.

Outlaw, My 77 is a black Targa as well. What size tires did you go with? Stock fenders?

Front 205/60R15 rear 225/60R15. Still trying to sort out the undocumented story on this car, I do not think it has stock fenders.

I would go the 944 route...They look almost as good as 80s Fuchs when they've got black centers and polished or anodized lips.

Does anyone have a picture of a car with Gazelle Metallic cookies from the factory?
