VDO Cruise Control

Hi,

Since my cruise control on my 85 Carrera was acting up, I tried checking all the switches (clutch, brake light switch, ...) and checked all the other external parts : all OK.

In this thread a Mercedes VDO cruise control from the same era is discussed, but mine looked different with two IC's, but given the similarities, the schematics served to under stand the basic building blocks.

In the end I found the bad solder connections and my unit is back up & running without replacing the caps! For future repair / reference, here are the schematics I could work out from my PCB :
