Hello, I am in process of removing my oil tank (never been off the car), sending to Pacific oil cooler for refurb. and have decided that it would be a good time to replace the 2 oil large oil lines connected to the tank which are at least 25 years old (since I have owned that car for that long and never replaced). I have both oil lines on order from Pelican- the 'S-hose' between the tank and the cooler, and the oil line from the driver side that runs up and over the engine and into the front of the oil tank. My question is on the long hose (line #17 in the drawing), where it connects to the left side of the engine, how do I access that fitting for removal? I also plan to drop the engine soon, will I have more access once that is out, or am I stuck trying to get the heat exchanger off, which will undoubtedly result in broken studs, etc. Any advice would be appreciated. It seems to me that a 25+ year old oil hose is a ticking time bomb, but removing the heat exchangers will end up with a much bigger job than intended. Thanks
