912 motor conversion
I installed a 2.7 engine in a 1967 912. I require advice on whether the rear suspension torsion bar should be changed considering that the rear bumper has been removed and replaced with a very light fiberglass one. This reduces the weight way out in the back.
The 2.7 engine (incl muffler) weighs 450 lbs and the 912 engine weighs 280 Lbs. Thanks for your help. Gerald |

I would change the bars to at least 911 mid year specs.
