I have to throw out a big Congrats to my buddy Sol.
He was my college roommate over 40 years ago and I've had a first row seat watching him as he built a great team, a thriving business and, most importantly, a stellar reputation as one of the top Porsche guys on the planet. At the risk of of hijacking this thread, Sol personally oversaw the the total restoration of a 1973 911S that he helped me purchase back in 1986. I sold it after 19 years and 280,000+ incredible miles. The person I sold it to subsequently sold it through Gooding, setting a sales price record at that time. In a letter accompanying the car, a Porsche Club of America concours judge states that it is “clearly the benchmark by which other early 911s are measured.” I sure miss that jewel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCrVjzJ3C2s |

It takes huge balls to paint a dragon under the hood. Huge balls.

I've got one of those too. It has a prototype Vasek Polak engine that was recovered with the stolen Porsche 917 engines a decade or so. 3.4L with MFI!
