86' Targa driver door to an 86' Coupe - possible?

Looking through the forum and found one very old thread - not seeing the answer in the restore or build threads so I'll ask here to take the guessing out.

Does anyone have experience or know if it is possible to take the door (driver) off a Targa and swap onto a Coupe? I haven't torn apart the doors yet to see the insides, and before I do thought I'd start here...

Totaled' Targa with only 55,000 miles on it one side is is still in excellent condition hopefully going on a Coupe with 200,000 miles on it and not in excellent condition.

Both cars are 1986's and both are black.

If I missed this in a thread - apologize ahead of time. Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks!
Erik

Same basic door, different swappable guts and window frame. Easy.

Good to know. Might push me to start the swap then. The broken Targa is in storage, and with the Texas heat not on the top of my list to work on at the moment.

Window frame was my concern.

Again, thanks!

Erik
