Ok guys,
lets go back to technic ![]() I found one reason: Bad oxygen Relay under passenger seat. Fixed --> FV is buzzling... Check. For all who have similar Problems: My old relay clicked and seemed good!!! Its no garantee that its good!!! Next i put in a new oxygen Sensor (Part 0 258 986 501), Engine seems to run smoother... I will start the engine often now to look at a constant idle... Problem is still aviable: Engine idles at 950. When i open the throttle and close it quick the RPM does go to 950 slowly (It takes about 5 seconds from 2000 to 950 RPM). Is that the vacuum limiter??? Is ist normal? Regards Philipp |

Great progress!!
5 sec from 2K to 950 is definitely not normal. Hanging up the rpm is what the decel valve does, the saucer gadget with the nipple and vacuum hose attached to it. I would plug the nipple or plug the whole thing up altogether if you don't need the function. That's what I did. |

I also removed mine altogether on my Mighty Meatlocker Turbo many years ago when it failed - much better to have a throttle that works "normally" (revs no longer hang when the throttle plate is closed). |
