Tried to contact the 3 gentlemans here that produce these, Dpmulvan via gmail, Qcurtis via facebook, and Karsten via instagram, but got no response to this day.

I'm interested in buying one to try it on my 915. PM here otherwise !

Hey sorry for the delay. I'm about 4-5 days out from being ready to ship. Just finishing up the last batch then they'll be ready on stellasautogarage.com

Will message you all directly when ready!

Mat51, did you ever get the spring? I placed order via the website https://www.stellasautogarage.com/shop on Dec 22nd 2023 and they took payment but no further correspondence from 'Qcurtis88'
just wondering if any others here have ordered this item?

And the phone number listed on his site https://www.stellasautogarage.com/about is not a valid number.

Thanks.

It was only a matter of time that someone or a company would copy Karsten’s spring design and profit of his R&D of 2 years before selling his well designed and tempered steel spring that never weakens.

Speaking of a matter of time…
It’s been 10 months (March 2023) I ordered the original K-Spring and never received it from Germany and all efforts to contact him and the postal service and my $62 USD went unanswered.

In the meantime I had a company make a few and they functions well. Few handy people as mentioned here also made these available.
FWIW there’s no patent for springs. A simple torsion spring (e.g. mouse trap spring) with couple of bends.
Advice - Don’t send payments for anything via Friends and Family.
I have some prototypes available that if I get around to it, I’ll find a way to sell them off so nobody will get burned out of their $ if shipping is lost in mail.

You are coming into this thread a bit late. Go back and reread it.

Karsten "went dark" last year. For all we know, he got hit by a bus. Others have stepped in to fill the gap, otherwise they would have bought the spring from Karsten.

Pete,
I’m up to speed with Karsten, as we speak often. My point, which you took offensively, was that it was only a matter of time that another person or company was building this spring. He mentioned in his first few notes that it took a few number of attempts to get the spring tension just right.
But we all know if you buy a few and reverse R&D they are easy to make.
The folks that are really worried are the Sein and Wevo builders. This spring is truly a cost free fix to a sloppy 915.

Is this a valid seller? Has anyone here purchased from this seller?
https://www.stellasautogarage.com/shop
They took my payment but no further reply.
I may just contact by credit card to dispute the charge.

Sir, as you allegedly have Herr Karsten's ear please let him know he has customers for his wonderful product - I have bought two.

To be sure, the $50 spring was far more friendly to the wallet than the $800 "solution" shifters, but surely those mfgs didn't stick a dead horse head in Karsten's trunk?

If you leave a vacuum, don't be surprised if someone else fills it. It is pretty clear in the timeline of this thread that no one spent any time reverse engineering this product until long after it was obvious that no more were going to be delivered, even to those that had paid, but not yet received.

Hope Mr. K is doing well.

From a US Patent:
Bushing 32 also rotatably carries operating handle 62 which is movable axially of pin 64 so as to be moved closer to, or further away from, the knee of the driver. Handle 62 is held in adjusted position relative to pin 64 by set screw 65 and, at its junction with pin 64, the handle is biased toward lever 24, or to the right as viewed in FIGS. 2, 10 and 11, by spring 66 which is coiled about bushing 32.

Thanks.
Almost ordered one, but unfortunately after a quick exchange with Qcurtis it wasn't clear if the 40$ flat rate shipping he applied for shipping to europe had the VAT paid or not. If not, it would have been a 120/130$ dollars spring to my door ... which seemed unreasonable. I was also waiting to see some customer feedback here because when i searched for the adress provided on the website i found no physical shop.

Karsten is still active on instagram, but not responding (yet and i don't want to be too insistent). I'm still on the market for one if Dpmulvan still has some left maybe ?

How long did it take between order and shipment arrival?
