Leak from cooler seals?

After correcting TOD and case defect leaks I’m left with a little drop of oil buildup per the pic.

It is coming from the seam in the cooler and engine case directly above. Would appear to be oil cooler seals leaking.
Is there a solution with engine in car? Loads of JB weld on the seam maybe?

Pull the oil cooler and check the seals. Can be done in the car. Easier if you remove the Pass side rear shock. Very straightforward.

Thanks guys. Thinking the plastic cooler cover plate has to come off to remove the oil cooler.
I have never removed my cooler yet. Might do so sometime, glad to get your inputs. Seems there is more work to consider at next oil change.

Remove all the plastic cover screws as possible, leaving the inner ones you can't get to, then just lift up the outer edge to get at the top 2 cooler nuts.

Recommend the green Porsche seals, or are the other seals okay too?

no.

has the cooler been out before under your watch? the rubber can get tired, or if you installed new and were not careful you can displace/pinch and they can be prone leak. the cooler looks super clean, was it sent out?

if there is no evidence of old, pinched cooler seals upon removal id consider sending it to pacific coolers for testing and cleaning. if one leaks they can braze stuff on the outer seams, others are considered junk if they can not repair it. they will send it back for reinstall if you can stand a cleaned cooler the drip,,, drip, drip.

Mike. If you pull the cooler, wire brush the recess behind the cooler and JB weld coat the pipe recess as in the bulletin

Shame this work of JB weld Art has to be covered up with the cooler!

Since my recess leaked on the outside, it seems quite likely it’s the case defect behind the cooler causing my leak. Ho hum, might leave this to the rebuild some day. Unless I get bored for an interesting project.

Mike ..only Green seal should be used..The name is Viton.
Since you will be replacing the oil cooler seals apply the JB weld on the inside and outside..as Bruce said

Put a piece of duct tape over the uncured JB weld to keep it from sagging until it hardens.

Seems there is no urgency to repair the leak on the interior recess. Or is there a risk of catastrophic failure from letting it be?

Does this have to be done on a 2.7 case?

Nevermind I just took my oil cooler off and I guess my mechanic did it when I did the rebuild.
