Classic Retrofit: Lightweight Electric A/C - Group Buy

As much as I wanted to join the group and save a bit of money, our build schedule would have been really hurt by waiting for the group buy units to arrive. I found a unit in the US that should be here in a couple of days. Good Luck to everyone on this - I imagine we'll be swapping install stories at some point.

I didn't get anymore emails over the last 24hrs and stopped at 6. I'm going to close this thread out and hopefully we can revisit in the future. For the 6 that sent me your info I'll pass everything along to Jonny as you are able to get 5% off with 5 people.. if there's still interest in that.

It would show a lot of good will.

For those that have asked on price. I did a quick calc tonight. Full kit + Alt with the 10% discount plus 100 for shipping puts it at about 4.5k usd will be more with 5% discount at 4.7k usd shipped.

Thank you for all the effort, I guess I’ll just wait and buy in the winter when things slow down and I have time to do the install. Might be a better exchange rate by then As well.

That's my hope as well. 5% and the conversion rate isn't enough for me to take the plunge.. even 10% at this point. Hoping a good line of communication was opened up and we get the chance over the winter to re-visit a group buy!

Got my invoice last night and order completed, they honored the 10% discount! Thanks again jacobS911, looks like I’ll just finish my build as the Texas heat cools off, looking forward to the Ac next summer!

Me too! I completed my order this morning. It's not Texas heat (which I know, because I grew up there), but it can get uncomfortable in the Oregon summer as well, and my wife will be much happier when I want to take the Targa on a hot day!!!

Winter projects: install the Electrocooler AC, while I'm in there fix the windshield washer and install the CR washer bottle solution, fix my flasher problem. Lots to do during our (likely) fall/winter quarantine!
