perforated leather seats
I am having some leather seats built by Webersport. I am not sure whether to have the inserts covered in solid leather or perforated leather. I prefer the look of the solid leather, but do the little holes really improve comfort/breathability?
Thanks,

What?!?!

Is this for the 88 or 71?
If the 71, I really like the perforated look. It's more period correct. Have you seen cerger's seats? Look here I'm not sure about function though. Anyone else?

Don:
Your car is great and in a very happy home. The new seats are for the '71. Although the stock seats are in great shape, we wanted a little more support. I would have gone with the old style sport seats (they would fit my wife well), but my frame is a little too big for them. Webersport offers a 911 high back manual seat with extra side bolsters. The bottom is a three piece (like the post '84 or '85 cars) so the stitching won't pullout like they do on the early highbacks. However, these don't have the heavy motors of the later seats. If I like them, I'll probably get a set for the '88 as well and get rid of the seat motors. Lew

Can you give me some more inforamtion about Webersport? I'm in the process of shoping for seats right now. So far, I think I'm going to go with these http://www.vintageseats.com/seats.htm but I'd like to explore all my options beforehand.

Webersport is in Salinas, CA. Their number is (831) 771-9640. I do not think that they have a website. Their early style sport seats are expensive (I think $3,000 for leather), but they look great. Their 911 manual high back with the three piece bottom and beefed up side bolsters are $1,500 for leather. Call them for a brochure. They are really nice to deal with.

Lew,
Glad to hear it. And I know the '71 will get TLC in all the right places. Seats were at the top of my list as well and you're correct.....the originals look great but that all changes as soon as your butt gets in them. Be sure to post some pics when time warrants.

Does anyone know where to find reproductions of these seats? They are from a 67 S.
They are the regular recaro sport seats with round headrests? I want 'em, gotta have 'em... where can I find some repros? Thanks, -JB
