Early 911 twin batteries found! Local auto parts store.
I don't know if this is old news but I found the exact replacement battery for the twin battery cars. And it was at O'Riley auto parts. They do not list it for a 911 but it fits great. Part number 99EXTJ, $144 with a three year replacement. No more stuffing lawn and garden or Miata, or optima batteries in there.

If it's not AGM, I'm not interested. I see no reason to haul liquid acid around anymore. My car's front pan has already been replaced once due to acid rust.
