Rear pop out window seals

Hi All,
I'm trying to put my 71T back together.

About the outer seals that goes on the window frame. I think I've got it right but it does not really stay on in the groove of the aluminium profile.

Are you supposed to glue it in place? Thanks for any input.

ps. It's nr 23 in the PET.

All the best,
Jörgen Forssling

I just finished installing this seal from all that I have read no it should not be glued. I used WD40 on both the seal and frame which really helped keep it in place.

Soap or silicone will help. WD40 is petroleum based and will ruin the rubber.

I was able to pop mine into the groove dry. No issues.

If I remember correctly, it takes a great deal of pressure to get this seal to secure in place. I think I used a smaller rubber mallet

Yes, that did it for me! Problem was that I had no reference to start with, didn't know what was inside and outside the groove.

It took some wrestling, and a rubber mallet, but now it is in place.

Thanks All for your help!
