964 / 965 brembo caliper corrosion
I just picked up some calipers, 964, and seeing large signs of corrosion, I have read a couple of threads on this and it seemed to be a "stay away" consensuses.
Can anyone shed some light on causes and actually how bad this actually is ![]() ![]() ![]()

I also found some 964 Brembo calipers and how easy a retrofit these are for the G Body 911's?

It can be done but there is lots of work to be done. Use the advanced search function to see what is involved. The boxter upgrade is easier in my opinion and may be adequate depending on your usage. Our host sells a kit.

Yeah I've been reading on various articles on the forum and it turned out easier for me to search using Google than the forum's search tools. When you said Pelican our host sell a kit, did you mean a kit for the Boxster conversion which I've seen, or for the 964 calipers? I'm interested in the 964 as someone is selling set of 4 for only $400.

I think Instant G sells a kit for the 964 calipers.

The corrosion is indeed common under the steel end plates. Looks like someone did a good job previously cleaning and resealing. As long as the metal hasn't eroded to the point that the end plates are no longer properly supported, you should be fine.
