Screw inserts for shift coupler cover

Redid the shift coupler on 83 and in removing the cover found one of the H shaped inserts that holds the cover screw was missing. Ive scoured the hosts web site, and anything else I can think of to find one or at least what they are called. I know the folded kind as clip nuts, speed nuts or blind nuts but these are a press in nut. Anyone know a part # or a link to them.

Looked at those. Close but not quite. The ones on the tunnel are an H shape and press into the rectangular hole where the corners of the H keep it from going all the way through

Google 999.591.329.02 as some other vendors sell repos since Porsche has discontinued them

Not sure they are even needed but aren't they just these ?

Everytime I mucked with it, I say to myself that's a lot of fussy screws for a dust cover.

I was looking for these for 26 years; I had one missing. Only this year did I get one from a breaker's yard. I bought 4, even though I needed only one and gave one away to someone who was also looking for years. They are called speed nuts and are NA, so your best bet is a breaker's yard. Or do a search for speed nut; someone called AlexJ found a source :

Prestole Cage Nuts

99959132901 and 99959132902 are the same. Only the colour differs (zinc vs yellow).

Ive looked through McMasters entire catalogue of speed nuts, J nuts, z nuts, captive nuts and none push in. They all slide in.

Thanks to all that found the listing on pelican. I went through all the parts for my year but I guess since its universal it doesnt show it. Only need one but can put my OCD at ease.

This is so timely and helpful. I am missing one too and was struggling to find a replacement. Thanks to the collective brain trust for coming through again!

I’m searching for these for another project. Found these on Amazon, not sure if it’s the same size as what’s on my 911

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BNGNN22/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_ht1-FbHVEPWNC

And then there’s this. https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/99959132901.htm?pn=999-591-329-01-OEM&gclid=Cj0KCQiA6Or_BRC_ARIsAPzuer_4aQfovme2W5hCy77e-SqXu8KtFDnOJBokAOQ8Awm4tkP55xUw9JEaAptaEALw_wcB
