Ctek Free vs 7002

Has anyone had experience with the new Ctek Free Charger/maintainer for both Lead acid and Litium Ion Batteries. I just replaced my battery with an AGM 48. Others here recommended I get a Ctek 7002 to replace my ancient Schumacher charger/maintainer. While researching Ctek's web site, they recommend the Ctek Free released in February. Has anyone had experience with it? Does it make more sense to get that over the 7002?

Unless you need a power booster to jump or run other items while traveling a MXS 5.0 should be plenty to maintain your battery or charge a dead battery overnight. The 7002 will give you more amps for faster changing of a dead battery otherwise they are the same when maintaining your battery. My suggestion is save a little, buy the MXS 5.0 kit, permanently install the comfort connect cable and be done. Saving the jumper cables for other cars as needed.

I personally have been using the older version of the MXS 5.0, the MUS 4.3 for about 3ish years now. Perfectly fine charging my big type 48 battery as well as my Optima Yellow/Red tops in other cars.
