Body Sealer on the front fenders?
Hi everyone,
I own a 68 912 SWB and now it's time to do some body and painting work! I've a question regarding the product that we should use between the front fenders and the body. Does somebody know what kind of product/sealer should I buy? I'm talking about the superior side of the fender, where the bolts are... When I took it off, I had to scratch all the stuff with a heater gun and, of course, I've to replace it... Somebody can help me? thankssss from Belgium |

If I remember correctly it's a tape. Hopefully someone will chime in.

Hello,
It's Porsche part number 00004312900 sealing strap. I'm in the UK and got mine from design 911 but I'm assuming rose passion have it as well Cheers, JB

you can get a similar black butyl tape at RV suppliers.

There is also a kit comparing of the OE tape strip, all fastening hardware, including phenolic/fiber washers. Available from our host here and other air-coole led suppliers.

I picked up a roll of grey butyl tape the other day at lowes in the roofing section.

Thanks guys! I gonna order it at Rose Passion in France... because we don't have huge RV parts resellers in Europe and at our local Lowes they don't have those kind of product... Thanks for all your advices, I appreciate it!

The correct tape is available from Porsche. Your dealer can order it.
