Has anybody tried titanium exhaust head studs
I normally buy my parts here on Pelican, but I've noticed the exhaust head studs are continuously exposed to the elements and suffer from rust issues.
I'm just curious if anyone has tried these and what their results were: https://titanclassics.com/product/titanium-m8-x-46mm-studs/ http://www.tsracing.com/Titanium-8mm-Wheel-Nut-25mm-Long-Internal-Hex-Drive-P8617.aspx?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6J-SBhCrARIsAH0yMZjsEyXNG5ujFJY9yZ1SI-IPbsuFKtnExXvP_CN5cl9qyqr96A9gpB4aAgoBEALw_wcB

So in your opinion, would it make a good exhaust stud?

Ben told me no. I didn’t ask why but he knows stainless so his answer was good enough for me.

Titanium has all kinds of metallurgical problems in automotive use, it is not a pricey panacea. At first glance, it appeals as something with the strength of steel and weight of aluminum. Dig deeper, and the picture is not so rosy.
Do a little reading on this topic, Google it. No sense me copy-and-pasting from people much more knowledgeable than I am on the topic.
