Any feedback on dashboards from Bamboli ltd?

Has anybody ever bought a 911 dash from bamboli ltd?

They sell them on their website or ebay.

Here's an example:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/193858962173?hash=item2d22e502fd:g:R0EAAOSwSRlflpz I&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8Ok1kNeixcGYPnU3c5ciL4%2Fp4Ho T6CX8B0XAV7X4a0%2F7%2FKWwE9k5bYG74nOR51JNAJMwWfgn9 q5fywz%2F3L3%2BajGveIBzw17KT0fhx8UVuC5EAYI3NGN6sp0 8PI4b9VyJSZYnznP3esbkTZUWIttb7w2%2FClSuikQZJNc4dRC MutVj%2FjDsPpr70ee6%2B86NFzt8AM2GSTtQ5gtDfAU9r8UJb MjkU17%2FjgoxXT4WspujEoys5xeEiS6RH31m4akeluEU4VGvS layN6VQ5tnFWhqTV93CYSG%2FTtXYIjHF%2FteAPdzxzWLseQB 4rdCKRrvkQ2cWTA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABFBMhIfQv7dg

I'm wondering what they look like and if the quality is acceptable or if I should run away.

They seem to be based in Bulgaria.

We recently bought one from Porsche. Was a bit more than that one, but fit perfect...

Cheers

Jeff, yes I bet it fit perfectly if it came from the dealer.
The one I'm looking for is NLA. I want a '76 dash without speaker, without vent.
A lot of the dashes up are NLA, even for 964/993. Which one did you buy?

PGG911, let us know how it looks!

I saw a clip on Jay Leno's restoration garage about this place.

https://www.justdashes.com/

They can "remanufacture" you old dash to like new. Not cheap, but very high quality. The hard part is removing the old dash, and installing it after it is rebuilt. I would use them way before some EBAY connection in a foreign country.

I priced these guys out a few years ago and same $ if not more than the new dash from Porsche. Plus, with the new Porsche dash you still have the old dash to have and hold. These guys would be a good option for a car model that has no new dashes available. YMMV

Will be interesting to see what the ebay dash is like since most of our parts are imported anyway.

Tony, I agree the years mentioned is not accurate, after 86 the dash changed to a single large vent at the base of the windshield, instead of the 2 smaller ones.
They have have a '76 no vent / no speaker version though.

Glen, justdashes is probably a good option for some cars.
But for a race car or hot rod it doesn't make sense to put $2K in a perfect dash if the ones on eBay are good enough.

On top of that, the ones from the dealer aren't quite the original ones. There's been some discussions on earlyS about the speaker hole pattern not being the same etc...
Lakewell is another decent option apparently for a new repro.

I used Just Dashes years ago to rebuild my one year only 1969 dash. They allegedly lost the mint condition speaker grill (1 -year only) and replaced it with a piece covered cardboard!!!! Will never go back. Be careful what you send them.

I got an estimate from them to rebuild the dash in my car 4 years ago. It was $1000. Stupidly overpriced. I bought a new OE one for $1100 instead.

Have one of these for a 69.

Making it 'fit' was a nightmare until I drilled the bolt holes bigger, sanded the pad down and found some clips that 'work'.

It still doesn't fit properly. The front half of the dash doesn't sit flush with the metal.

Die grinding the inside of the foam pad helped this a bit. Probably needs more.

The cover damages easily. I tore a small patch off the corner today fitting the windscreen.

I recently bought one from an eBay seller, shipped from Turkey (are these all coming from the same mfg?). My experience was closely like yours: LOTS of adjusting, fitting, routing out of the foam backing with a Dremel, file, sandpaper, etc. I eventually got it to fit, and Im really happy with the result, but the fight was real.

The kneebars that came with my kit fit perfectly tho, and Im suuuper happy with them.

WOAH! Only $400!?

Wonder if they have one for an 87 Coupe. Just took mine out with the plan to refinish it, but I know it will cost around that for a recover and I still need to fix all the cracks. Would be great to just install a new one and call it a day.

Save my old core for a rainy day.
