911 Windshield Install Assistance

Sorry for the ridiculous question, but does anyone know of a shop/guy in San Diego who knows how to install windshields with the rubber gasket? The shop that has my car for a light renovation can't find anyone to support this. The car is an 83 and when washed, the interior get just a little damp.

Just posing the question. Thank you "guys" for the assistance.

I would call your local Porsche Dealer and find out who they use. From what i’ve experienced is they don’t do it in house.

Thank you. The local Porsche dealer does have a classic branch. Anymore, "classic" means somewhere around 2005. I'll give them a shout tomorrow.

Guaranteed there's an old man in a cave that lives somewhere near you, out in the mountains. I hear you leave your car along with new gaskets and a case of beer outside the cave at sundown and by sunrise your car will be there with the new gaskets installed.

Oh, but only if they're factory Porsche gaskets. If they're not factory Porsche gaskets you'll never see your car again.

It’s not that difficult, should be a guy for every mile in California. Unless they all moved to Austin.

Call Tony at Autoban Interiors
He is located in the Mira Mesa area.
He knows a installer.
