Is the fuel pressure test port removeable?
Is the fuel pressure test port removeable?
Of course, everything is removeable. I mean is it separable from the fuel rail? Looks to be all one construction. The thread on mine is partially stripped so it would be better if I replaced it. If separable does anybody know the part number or spec? Apologies to whomever I nicked the photo off.

I dont believe so, its 1 piece. Im showing:
930 110 307 04 Fuel collection pipe as the part for the whole rail. |

I'll be surprised if that fitting wasn't bolted on .... tight.
Only one way to find out unless someone knows for sure. |

I don't know how bad your threads are, but provided the cap will tighten, it may not be an issue. the threads don't create the seal, there is a 9mm ball bearing the actually creates the seal under the cap. |

Got a cap right now on an 89 that won't budge. Butane torch heat, beeswax, no go. Really would like to check pressure but if one reefs on that cap too hard, the fuel rail will be tweeked or ripped open. Be careful with your strength.

Stubborn Test Port Cap……..

John, Did you try a pneumatic impact wrench @ moderate setting? Then subsequently increase the torque as needed. No breaker bar unless you’re willing to take unnecessary risk. Tony |

No room for an impact wrench down there unfortunately.
