Thanks for the kind words

Anyway, I'm not sure about the rear rim size (since I'm not at home right now). But the rear "dialers" are wider (deeper?) than the fronts. If I remember correctly, the tires are 205/60 and 215/60 (15s). They don't rub, however I may go down to a slightly lower profile, say 55s on the front and back when I replace the tires.

It's interesting, but for some reason the dial wheels make the car look newer than it actually is. They certainly seem to suit it.

This car seems to really love the twisty back roads, the engine has quite a lot of low-to-midrange pull, so you really don't have to rev it too high to get good performance

...as for the whale tail... it's starting to grow on me. I'm not 100% sure if I want to keep it though. I may shop around for another "spoilerless" rear deck, so I have both.

Also, maybe someone here can tell me... does this car look like it has the right front spoiler/air-dam for the whale tail to be balanced properly?

Thanks,

-MAS

Actually I don't think you have any front spoiler on there. The lore is that if you have a rear spoiler, you should also have one in the front. If you stay out of triple digit speeds though it likely shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Congrats - looks good!

I concur with your 2.7/3.0 comparisson. While the 3.0L SC is technically the faster car by the numbers, the 2.7S is simply a joy to drive - it feels much faster.

MAS: You have the stock front valance but, sadly, no spoiler. I have heard as well that having the rear tail without the front lip will cause high speed instability.

Speaking of the spoiler, I'm starting to warm up to it. It just might be a mistake to remove it. Food for thought.

The 77 pictured above with the tail still has the "baby flares," not full SC flares, right? Reason I ask is that I'm wondering how my '75 would look with a tail (to house an intercooler) but I haven't seen one of these narrower cars with one. I know it's not a Turbo tail above, but still gives an idea, at least. It looks less goofy than I was expecting

Of course, the big, honking Turbo spoiler "might" look goofy... but any narrow body requiring an intercooler (Turbocharged? Really?) could be forgiven for a little visual goofiness.

Welcome MAS, nice to see another Canadian 911.

Yup put a front spoiler on that puppy or loose the tail. Looks great, have fun.
I assume their are some nice twisties on the Island, just don't fall into the Ocean
