Help me identify this crumbled cap

Hi

I have tried but with no luck to identify the part I need or what this opening is even for to narrow it down. There was an orang colored cap that was broken and disintegrated when I touch the remainder. It was covered in white stuff. Any help would be appreciated. Attached is a picture this is in the passenger side right under the glove box which is removed in this picture. This is a 1985 911 Carrera coupe.

for that you can use inside plug or outside ,over the pipe plug like this.I don`t think there is a part number
