Window Regulator Pins for an '87
I have purchased both a set of the Rennline regulator pins with the cross top from our host and a pair of single slot pins from Rennspeed, and both sets are too large for the slot opening in my 1987 coupe' regulators. See the attached photo.
Does anyone know if there is correct set out there being made for this car and if so where to buy them? Both sides had broken pins in the bottom of the doors. ![]() |

Can the hole on the regulator be enlarged to fit one of the pins you purchased?

Do you have the 26mm or 23mm Rennline pins? You didn’t state.

Proper credit to those before me. But, in my ignorance, I discovered this same fix. Works great.
I was lucky that I found galvanized 1/2" 1/4-20 carriage bolts in my parts bin. I'll probably add a bit of paint on the barrel nut to protect from rust. A little filing on the sides of the carriage to square them and get a better fit. And minor grinding on the bolt crown for clearance. It all works great, and seems to be the simplest repair possible. Also below is how I managed the assembly without 4 additional hands. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
