Carrera wheel spacers

Having a bit of trouble finding the answer searching.

What is the consensus on biggest spacers/adapters I can add to the stock 6” and 7” Fuchs on my Carrera to fill the fenders/quarters without rubbing?

Thanks gents.

I ran 25mm spacers on the rear, none on the front. Depending on how low you are, you could go up to 25mm on the front, and maybe 35mm on the rear, but watch for rubbing.

That's what I am thinking. 25mm in rear, none or very little up front. I'm at Euroish ride height and my measurement from top of outer wheel is about 1.25"

Anybody else have input, pictures? Thanks

I've run 21 and 23mm spacers on the back wheels of my last two 3.2 Carreras. Looks good and plenty of clearance. Haven't bothered to do anything with the fronts.

Run sticky tires and that's all you need to do I think.

On a G50 Carrera with 6/7 and 205/225 I ran 15mm all the way around (the car had longer studs). It was low and didn't rub.

My car is lower than Euro spec thanks to the PO (hmmm) and I found there is a 10mm spacer in the rear. I run stock tires and just at the point where a finger doesn't fit in the space. I don't rub but it's soooo close. My studs are original too and they are just at the point where I feel ok but any more and nervous about not changing to longer ones.

I run 21 mm in the rear. Nothing in front. I was thinking of running 5mm up there

I also run the same spacers on my 86 Carrera, the fit and look are spot on!

This thread would be great if it had part numbers/brands descriptions of stud lengths and more.

I think a lot of people want to space out the rears especially, but there's precious little recommendations / reviews on the topic.

Coastr,

With the bolt on spacers, I probably recommend the H&R brand for quality in whatever width you fancy. The Trak+ versions have their own wheel studs to fasten the wheels to and use the factory studs to hold the spacer in place if that makes sense. So simple and quick fitment as they have worked it all out for you.

However for the rear of my current car, I wanted a "factory parts" look so opted for genuine Porsche 21mm spacers that came with early 944's (477 501 701) and used 72mm wheel studs (993 341 671 03)

Porsche also did a next size up 28mm spacer (930 341 611 00) but I think is a touch too wide for this application.

Hey Arnie... I must have been a sleep at the wheel!..When did you purchase your 911T? You may miss the power eh?
Over the years we have owned two of them...They’re a ‘pretty’ 911 ay!!
