replacing door seals on 83 sc

Is there something special I should know about replacing the door seals on my sc?

Will they just pull out and push in? Is there glue involved.?

Thanks,
hughc

Hughc,

I simply pulled the old ones out, did a average effort of removal of adhesive from the channel.

Replaced with a 20$ uro seal, works great.

No glue for me, if it ever comes out of the channel I'll glue it in, but for now don't see any need.

Thanks Phil, sounds simple enough.
I'll try it your way.
Cheers

I didn't use glue either, they have stayed in the channels. Easier to get them out "next time"!

I used a little double stick tape in the area i felt were going to lift

I just did my 72 and used Porsche seal. I tried two other brands and the door will not shut correctly, even after trying to adjust it. Maybe it's a long hood thing. As far as adhesive I needed a bit in the floor corners.... the rest stayed put and needed a bit of help due to new paint. for adhesive I used the yellow 3M 08001 Weatherstrip and Gasket Adhesive sparingly.
